We created this 1 Day Humantay Trek for those nature lovers who do not dispose with too many days. We arranged this trek to Humantay in a way that you will be able to enjoy spectacular views, exotic flora and fauna, beautiful valleys and imposing snowcapped mountains, especially at Humantay Lake.
Itinerary
1
Day 1: Cusco – Soraypata – Humantay Lake
We start with a pick-up from your hotel from 4.30 am to 5.00 am. We direct the tourists to the tourist transport that will take them to the town of Mollepata (2900m). The trip duration is approximately 2 hours. We will have a delicious breakfast, and then continue in the transportation for one more hour to Soraypampa (3900m). There we will get ready for our walk, ascending for about 1 hour to the Humantay Lagoon (4200m). After time to visit and explore the view of the Humantay mountain (5450m) in the Vilcabamba mountain range of the Andes in the company of our guide who will explain us about this magnificent place, we will start the way back to Soraypampa where we will explore the Salkantay road (6271m) and view this sacred mountain – the second highest mountain in the Cusco region. Then we will have our delicious lunch and return us to the city of Cusco, arriving at 6:30 pm.
