Description

Embark on a journey back in time and uncover the secrets of the Andes with the Qeswachaka Inca Bridge Tour (group service), a unique experience we highly recommend for those seeking authenticity and adventure.

In this iconic location, the network of trails built by the Incas comes to life, along with the hanging bridges woven from natural fibers. This structure, restored by successive generations for over five centuries, remains intact as a symbol of resilience and tradition. At 3,700 meters above sea level, the Apurímac River flows through this landscape, meeting this ancient marvel, where each year over 1,000 people gather to renew its structure in a ritual recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

Throughout the tour, you will also experience the breathtaking views of the Apurímac Canyon, visit the historic home of Túpac Amaru II, and explore the four Andean lagoons of Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi—a remarkable circuit that combines nature and adventure in the heart of Peru.

Rediscover the history and spirit of the Andes with the Qeswachaka Inca Bridge Tour (group service).

CUSCO – CUSIPATA – 4 LAGUNAS – Q’ARAÑAHUI – Q’UESWACHAKA.

The tour will begin early in the morning, with pickup at your hotel around 4:30 a.m. We will head towards the charming Southern Valley of Cusco, passing through various small towns, each rich in culture and tradition.

Our first stop will be the picturesque town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a traditional breakfast to prepare for the day ahead. From there, we will continue towards the Combapata viewpoint, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Andean landscapes.

After this visit, we will head towards the fascinating Mini Volcano of the Pavellones, passing through Yanaoca, a district known for its history and its place within the province of Canas. Following our route, we will travel for about an hour to reach the district of Q’ewe, where the legendary Inca Bridge is located. This ancient structure, which has withstood the test of time, will lead us down a zigzag path to the impressive Apurímac River.

Once we arrive, we will explore the site and admire the grandeur of the canyon. From here, we will proceed to Mosoc Llaqta, where the historic home of Túpac Amaru II, an iconic figure in Peruvian history, is located.

Our journey will then culminate with a visit to four Andean lagoons: Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopia, and Pomacanchi. Each of these lagoons offers a unique and peaceful environment, making this part of the trip an unforgettable experience. After enjoying the natural beauty of these lagoons, we will return to Cusipata for a delicious local lunch.

Finally, we will head back to Cusco in private transportation, taking in the last panoramic views of this magnificent journey. We will arrive back in the city around 5:30 p.m., closing this experience with unforgettable memories of the Southern Valley of Cusco.
